21/02/2024 Quote: “Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Polish striker Filip Piszczek on a multi-year contract: bohemianfc.com/?p=20033The 28-year-old joins from Japanese side FC Imabari* (see below ) and, subject to international clearance, will be the eighth new addition to Declan Devine’s squad.” Quote from Wikipedia (Believe it if you like 😀) *In 2019, after finishing in third place at the JFL, FC Imabari were promoted to Japan's professional league system, becoming a professional club, as they were promoted to the J3 for the first time in their history.[3] FC Imabari acquired a J2 license in 2021, meaning that Imabari can be promoted to the J2 League once they are able to finish the season in the promotion zone. On 2023, the club plays their fourth consecutive season at the J3 League.

One Agent from Poland, INNFOOTBALL, has the three Polish defenders, Radkowski, Nowak and Bart on their books. This season, Devine and Fenlon signed Chorazka on 8/02/2024 and Piszczek on 21/02/2024, also on the books of INNFOOTBALL. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/innfootball/beraterfirma/berater/2615/sort/haupt_vereinOne Agent from Estonia, Trequartista Football Management, has the three Estonian players, Lilander, Miller and Reinkort on their books. www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trequartista-football-management/beraterfirma/berater/4024So, this season, six of our eight new signings may have been ‘ on Devine’s radar’ and may have ‘ticked all the boxes’ but they were negotiated with only two European agents. Two books of players represented by two agents, Easy Peasy. if the links above don’t come up, just type in INNFOOTBALL OR TREQUARTISTA and you will find the two agents. The transfermarkt link to both Agents, shows all the players on their books.

Quote “Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the loan signing of Hull City defender Jevon Mills until the end of June. The former Ireland U19 international is the ninth addition to Declan Devine’s squad for the 2024 season.” bohemianfc.com/?p=20037This is the worst management team we have ever had at Bohemian FC, that I can remember. Devine, Irwin and Pender don’t know how to manage and Fenlon appears to be making things worse. Dithering, failing to get the right players in place well before the season started. The defence was our most crucial area to get solid defenders in and it never happened. Playing Kirk when he is not good enough, moving Flores into left full because he seen a problem last season and yet Devine starts Kirk last Friday who did his best but still is missing something. Playing Danny when Connolly is a better option. Not starting Miller and Lilander and giving them a mountain to climb when they came on. This stupidity never stops. If we had competent defenders in all positions, including experienced back up defenders, we would not need to be chasing players at this late stage but could prepare another squad player to fill Cornwall’s boots. Chorazka should not have come straight into the team either after Dennison was prepared preseason to fill Talbot’s position. Our preseason consisted of our first team playing two U21 teams (boys) in Scotland while our U20’s were playing first team’s (men) from Drogheda United and Malahide United. Devine and his team were not even in United Park to see the U20’s play in Drogheda. Croly was on his own in the dugout all night.

Quote ”Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the season-long loan of defender Aboubacar Keita from MLS side Colorado Rapids. The 23-year-old former United States underage international is the tenth addition to Declan Devine’s squad for the 2024 season.” bohemianfc.com/?p=20041you couldn’t make this up. It’s like a conveyor belt of new players. Desperate measures by a desperate Manager. This is going to cause upset in the existing squad who are expecting game time ahead of these new players. Aboubacar Keita is on a base annual salary of $215,000 with Colorado Rapids, till the end of Season 2025. I presume Bohs will have agreed to pay a quarter of this salary or one half of this salary. This will work out at €49,000, if they agreed to pay a quarter of his existing Salary or €98,000, if they agreed to pay a half of his existing salary. Accommodation and other expenses are not included in this figure. Recent video (six months) discussing Aboubacar Keita’s return from an ACL injury. He looks to be a good player who might just shine for us when his match fitness returns fully.

Quote Bohemian FC is delighted to confirm the signing of defender Luke Matheson on loan from Bolton Wanderers until the end of June. The 21 year old former England youth international is the 11th addition to Declan Devine’s squad for the 2024 season. bohemianfc.com/?p=20045This guy was sold to Wolves for £1,000,000 a few years ago and scored a cracker for Rochdale against Manchester United (yes, their first team) when he was 16. Now, this is an exciting prospect to watch in the red and black.

The rumours of us signing Jake Carroll are getting stronger. He is over here on trial with Bohs. He is 32, has had a bad injury while with his last club, Motherwell, missed a full season and was let go in June 2023. He plays left full and obviously a left full is what we need to coax Kirk to get the lead out and start playing like we know he can. However, I don’t see Kirk quaking in his football boots at the prospect of competing with Carroll who has been around the block in England and we haven’t been that fortunate when signing journeymen from England in the last two seasons. I think they’ll sign him because we do need a left full and I doubt if they have anyone else lined up in that position, this close to the start of the season.
